Feed your blog stats with Feedburner

Posted by: Mercury Thread In: Blogging| IMJUK| RSS| Web Traffic Analysis

Two days ago we changed our RSS link, I’m sure the eagle eyed amongst you will have noticed :p

We’re now running using feedburner pro. The feed in Wordpress is great, it requires no thought at all and bang its up and running. With Feedburner we can now get statistics. I never knew I could get so many stats. Already our blog subscriptions have grown by 200%. Which is great so if you want to subscribe and get our updates straight to your chosen RSS reader.

On which note if you use Thunderbird, the great open source mail client from Mozilla, you can just set up your mail client to run it. However if you are still running on Outlook you may find the process more difficult. We would reccomend the intravnews plugin for outlook- it works and gives you nice little desktop updates when feeds go live. Plug it in and away you go. Nice and easy. With getting updates this easily maybe RSS is really simple syndication.
