Here's something to add to your list.
Read the copy out loudy to someone.
All of a sudden most copy doesn't make sense. SEO have a knack for SEO copywriting but sometimes it's good to read it out and let someone non SEO judge whether it makes sense.

Am building tutorial to go with this series of actions. Will be building example pages on how to do it - I dont think my clients would be over the moon when I start showing their competition how to do something they've got a lead on their market. And if I show you too much why would anyone pay me to do it :)

#If you get really smart and rich you can start doing the eye tracking stuff aswell : http://www.grokdotcom.com/2007/09/05/eyetracking-heatmaps-gaze-plots-oh-my/trackback/

Go I wish I had that kind of cash

First part of this is the way I always wrote copy. Of course in the early SEO days I was always being told I didn't cram in enough keywords!
Keep it simple, easy to read, not too much shouting of pointless repeated slogans, but make sure the information is all there so the customer can compare things and convince themselves.

Second part I'd like to see some examples of. How universally applicable is this siloing technique?

Good article though, pity the clients can't all read it!
